June - a wonderful time of the yearWe are enjoying the beautiful weather with a few rainy days to protect us
from forest fires.
Our rehabilitation
Services have increased with Darcy Gulliver a local resident from Nelson Miramichi joins River Rehabilitation Services and
Physiotherapy Plus. Darcy recently graduated from Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage in Fredericton and is happy to be
offering services in his home community.
King George B&B that has been in operation since May of 2009 has been awarded the
2010 Excellence and Innovation Award in Tourism Marketing. This new innovative Innhas evolved into a cooking school with local chefs and as the place to go for “Murder on the
Menu” Mystery Murder Dinners.
A Diversity workshop was held where we had the pleasure of learning about how a diverse
workplace can greatly improve the community within that workplace. It was shown to us that by bringing
in the right person regardless of their situation, even if it will require some changes be made within the workplace, you
can more accurately hire the right fit for the position, which will give the potential to keep an employee and save money
on retraining. Overall this workshop was an excellent learning experience which has shown how easy it can
be to integrate a diverse workforce into any workplace, it just requires a little effort, and however has potential to have
major returns on investment.
