The Miramichi Chamber of Commerce (MCC) was formed in October 1981
when the Chatham and Newcastle Chambers of Commerce amalgamated.
It is a not-for-profit
business organization that provides a vehicle for people from large or small businesses to work together. The united voice of members expressed through the Chamber has a positive impact on issues facing business
and the community at large.
The MCC maintains an excellent working relationship with municipal, provincial
and federal officials, Enterprise Miramichi, Historic Water St. Business District , Downtown Miramichi Business Network and
other business groups. Through the efforts of its Board of Directors, the Chamber assists in improving economic standards
and strengthening the business climate by working co-operatively with these and other groups.
We are part of an impressive network of business associations:
- the New Brunswick Chamber
of Commerce, with over 6,000 French and English businesses
- the Atlantic Provinces Chamber
of Commerce with its 107 member chambers
- the Canadian Chamber of
Commerce and its 170,000 members
- The International Chamber of Commerce representing
chambers of commerce all over the world
Through these affiliations, we can ensure our business community has representation on
all pertinent issues.
As our membership continues to grow, we are proud to be able to offer our members many
new and exciting benefits. We also offer them numerous opportunities to
meet and network.
Looking to the future, the Miramichi Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to action;
to partnering with organizations to ensure continued growth and prosperity for the Miramichi area and its business community.
The Chamber accomplishes all of this through the combined efforts of its members –
people like you!
